Purpose

A means of attaching Braided Line (E-Line) to the Wireline Tool string.

Applications

Used in Electric Line application for various logs, test, or surveys, provides a connection between the braided line conductor and the appropriate tools for the intended work.

Precautions

Care should be taken to ensure that the internals of the rope socket are sealed with a non-conductive grease (silicon) so as there is no danger of a short, and thus a tool failure.
