Purpose

To reduce debris on top of sub surface tools.

Description

BT Junk Catchers are made up of 2 components:

1. Fishneck2. End Cap

Operation

Tighten end cap onto fishneck and attach to GS running / pulling tool and hoist inside of lubricator. Lower into wellbore to top of sub surface tool, jar down to shear GS. Remove toolstring from wellbore.

Precautions

If a large amount of debris is expected, an extension barrel may be added to accommodate added volume. Ensure that jarring down to release the junk catcher will not damage equipment below.
