Purpose

X Running Tool is constructed to deploy the flow of subsurface control devices. It is used to run X and XN lock mandrels. The fishing neck is connected to the device to improve the industry standard connections.

Operation

Pin corresponding X / XN Lock and equalizing assembly onto running tool using brass shear pin (or shear pin of desired material). Lower tools into wellbore and run to desired depth, stopping just prior to landing nipple it is recommended to take static and pull weights, set down and jar packing into the seal bore of the nipple until there either the no-go (XN ASSY) or the keys (X ASSY) have located, properly.

Jar down to shear top pin and lock keys in place with expander mandrel of X-Lock. Jar up to shear bottom pin and remove from wellbore.
